i got this from one of the emails i received. and i think its quite cool. so here's something for both guys and girls to think about.
WHAT IS A "COOL GIRL"?

Lately I've been thinking a lot about the idea
of a "Cool Girl".

You hear most men using the term, and some
women.

Men everywhere, without ever having talked to
each other, share a common idea about women and
use the term "Cool Girl" universally.

In some places the actual words are different,
but the idea is the same.

But what does it actually MEAN?

And is it important that men all have this

this "ideal" that men imagine when they're saying
"I want my freedom".

They're thinking of the COOL GIRL, and then
they're imagining themselves with a woman who is
this way.

There are a lot of aspects to this COOL GIRL.

Here are a few that are important:

- Lack of Insecurities

- Easygoing

- Humor

- Unpredictability

- Independent

- Emotionally "balanced"

...and the list goes on.

It's actually not easy to describe a COOL GIRL
in a few sentences... but the truth is that a man
can recognize one INSTANTLY.

today the albert house guys took part in a trinity soccer competition and they really put up a good fight. i guess it was different because they have always been playing at carlton gardens and its different there. oh well. we had lots of fun going down to support them. tiana and i watched FRIENDS till 430 in the morning and we woke up at 830. omg. how pro are we. then i was complaining cos i needed food to function in the morning so we went to hungry jacks for breakfast. yummy
greedy qi and beng ate pancakes and a burger each . tsk tsk
after the end of the match on the way home.. we ate HUNGRY JACKS yet again . haha and some of us went to get food from MACs which was just next door lolx. everyone was kinda exhausted. i don't even know why i was tired. i didn't even play soccer. haha. maybe exhaustion from being excited about the matches.
i'm just so poud of all the guys in today's match . you guys really put up a good fight that's worthy of even the praises of the queens and kings. yupp everyone really trained really hard for the tournament and even if the outcome wasn't what they had expected, they still maintained strong and bonded. all the times they spent together- it didn't go to waste. good job guys and also the girls who all went down to support the guys. we skipped chem lecture for them !!
ALBERT HOUSE is one big united family. we enjoy together we feel sad together and we stick with each other through thick and thin !

yesterday night we all bathed without HOT WATER !! imagine ok its winter and you're bathing in cold water. i was suffering. i couldn't even go under the water. just try to use the water and rub it on myself. tsk. we learnt that we must test the water first before stripping. haha
and now we will all rush to hurry up to bathe. so that everyone can enjoy the hot water lolx

today's match resulted in quite a few injuries in albert house. neo [ugly face] hahas* injured his ankle and andrew's butt is injured i think and louis's specs was broken by mike our lit. lecturer in the match against the staff hahas. one of the sides flew off and since it was brown it was quite hard to differentiate it from the grass and we couldn't find it.
and joel cracked his bone. from the calf down to his ankle. and it seems quite bad. he has to put his leg in a cast and i think the next two days he'll be bedridden-ish. its so weird how just yesterday i just saw him playing his drums at OCF welcome night. and now.. he's like suffering with his leg in a cast. and i never thought about it. that when you wrap your leg in something. it feels stuffy inside. and i guess its the same for a cast with the exception that you can't remove it. X(
to cheer him up. we watched SPONGEBOB THE MOVIE !! whoo but then halfway through it he seemed to feel pain in his leg. and i don't think the pain was anything i could imagine. they said he actually screamed on the field. darn guy for such a terrible tackle. boo

hmmm weird things going on in my life. weird awkward feelings going through me.
i haven't done any work this week. sighs.. tomorrow !! no more fooling around !! homework !! essays !! HERE I COME !!

Most of that advice has nothing to do with how
things ACTUALLY work with men, dating and
relationships.

That's right. Nothing.

Especially when it comes to how men become
attracted and interested in long term
relationships with women.

So if you've been listening to your mom, your
girlfriends, guy friends, etc., then odds are
you're not having a lot of success, right?

But tons of women (and men) still follow that
everyday "common sense" advice and try things that
just don't really help.

Here are a few examples of the advice you'll
hear from the people around you:

- Act a little "bitchy" because men secretly like
it

- Go hang out where "good men" are likely to be
and you'll meet a great guy

- Be active, have fun and keep a busy and
interesting life of your own

- Don't act clingy or needy

- Don't expect to meet any good men in bars,
clubs, party places, etc.

- Meet men while doing things you like to do so
you have similar interests

- Let him initiate... wait for him to call you or
ask you out

- Play a little bit "hard to get"

Sound familiar?
hahas.. ok that wasn't what i thought about but here's the thing.
ever wondered how its ever so often that you like someone and he/she likes someone else and that person he/she likes also likes someone else.
i guess while you're busy noticing someone you think you like. you're at the same time ignoring someone who could potentially be liking you. ever thought about that ? ok you probably don't know the person you're ignoring could possibly like you anyway.
hmm sounds kind of deep here. i guess its just very difficult for two really compatible individuals to meet considering how circle of friends usually is confined in our classes ?? school ?? church ?? extra clubs or others..

ok just imagine there's a quite pretty, funny and nice girl whose name is G and G used to like this boy [we'll call him B] in the past. B on the other hand liked a maybe more attractive girl to him called A.
B started asking A out on dates and what not.. and then he realised things wouldn't work out. then he sees G going out with another guy [lets call him X]. they're having fun laughing and joking around on some nice date to the movies or something.
B thinks to himself. "hmmm G's actually a nice girl and she's quite pretty eh . how come i never noticed her before ?? if only i were the guy she was with, laughing and having fun"

how come... how come its so difficult to like someone and have that person like you back. lolx.
very strange right. if only things don't have to be so complicated right

aiyah thats so super random. oh well.. i went to elizabeth st to band in the cheque for uncle fokchin. hahas.
and this morning i was EARLY for chem lecture eh ..
ninghui lent me the FRIENDS vcd to watch. although she passed me season8 hahas.
nvm i can slowly borrow from her. oh well..
i drew funny pictures on ninghui's hand today during maths lect and she drew on mine. what super-shy !! and some funny fat feet. her fat feet look like some stone with toes lar lolx

i wish i was more exciting
i wish i had more energy to type in my blog
but well.. here goes.
today we had dance class. and it was super fun . like just the 6 of us. wenqi lilian and i and chris and albert and syafiq.
haha we did the ballroom dancing which isn't as OMG as people think it is. and we're fast learners ! yay . how cool is that man
yesterday i went for the UMAT test thingie. and it was so super difficult grrr. the aussie girl sitting beside me even had time to sleep between sections. wth man .
quite unfair. my advice to anyone considering taking UMAT while studying in australia. DON'T. it just demoralises you. if i can pass i'll be happy but MELISSA. thats a different story. she's a good representative of asian students ! she had time to finish and check . sighs. are we really that dumb ?? haha

haiyaii so many things to do and yet so little time to finish them

and i just found out a friend of mine's brother just passed away in a bus crash of some sort. my condolences to him and his family. so people please pray for him even if you don't know him. sighs. how come life is so fragile ??

we went to watch gronks. some drama play then we went to crown for buffet dinner. and we played at the water fountain. hahas. i got splashed in the face !

this is me and my darling yichian. who apparently broke up with me without me knowing it. hahas. i still love her my true lover !

well anyway. the past few days. i had a few nice chats with people. and i found out that other people have the same thoughts as me which i would have never expected. and i guess it's been a great past ten days?? even though i didn't get to use the internet, but God blessed me in other ways. that i was able to talk to people who opened up to me. everytime i have nice heart to heart kinda talks with people i always feel very blessed and loved and also VERY LUCKY !
yupp. quite cool lar. secrets and stuff. girl talk. oh..

we're joining this ttv taletagavanza ?? whatever they call it lar. some talentime competition stuff. and we're doing a skit drama kinda thing. i hope it ends up funny and people enjoy it, cos we spent a long time thinking it up. but the product sounds exciting !
heh . something about being stranded on an island where in the end we learn that we must work together to survive .. something along those lines anyway. lolx

today i watched pirates of the carribean. wasn't very nice in my opinion and if anyone watched please stay till after the credits cos there's one part after the credits finish rolling ! something cool will happen. but then we have to wait till pirates3 comes out to understand everything. full of nonsense man i tell you.
anyway i did GOOD DEEDS today !! whee..
thanks to ME !! initially all the girls were sitting at the back row then i asked them to move forward leaving wong blur. confused. pretending.. so she sat beside andrew ! whoo. happy happy happy. hahas. and tiana sat beside steven .. heh heh heh
oh and we got cheated cos i thought it would be damn cold in the cinema but it wasn't. at the beginning i was SO HOT ok

anyway today QI did something fantastic. her quote of the day : how come the leaves have trees.
isn't that fantastic. a good joke is one where u can develop it and make more jokes out of it.. so actually when you walk on the road the road is walking on you !!

i reached back on saturday afternoon and the whole place was so quiet man . the only girls around were me. janice t and mel. hahas. i slacked in my room the whole day unpacking my stuff and clearing up the room . so fast tomorrow school's starting again !! omg. and i'm getting back my exam results . grrr. first chem. then maths1 then eap. wth. very evil right my timetable !!

outside my room is very noisy. i don't know where its coming from eh .. and my room mate is happily sleeping. oops. while the lights are on and everything.

oh well. its the finals for the world cup .

school's starting. i can't believe two weeks passed by so quickly. the trees are all botak already.

well well.. i've been in singapore for two weeks already and tomorrow morning at 530am i'll be on the plane flying back to melbourne. for some this holiday has been long awaited and for some there's just not enough time to meet up with everyone. well i agree that there isn't enough time. but yet i've spent a lot of my time stoning and doing nothing. sleeping. just switching off my mind. X(
since when did my life become like that ?? since when is there so much uncertainty ??
it's just been a confusing two weeks. and the past week especially must have been one of my most down days. i've been lost and confused and i don't know why. i don't know what i want anymore and i don't know what i'm going to do and stuff.. just been really lost with my life and how things are going to be ..
feeling like no one knows me. no one understands everything.. nothing makes me feel excited anymore. i feel like a walking tree. just walking around breathing and all. not thinking of anything..
